To promote the low-light camera in their Xperia phone, Sony commissioned five street artists to produce artworks in key cultural areas around London, with UV paint that would light up at night. We were engaged to tell the artworks’ stories from initial concept to completion.
We decided to show the installations coming to life using time-lapse photography.
This presented an additional challenge, as it is already difficult setting the best exposure for a shot that transitions from day to night and in this case we also needed to work with the luminous paint.
The final effect in the films was stunning, as the sun went down, the streetlights lit up and the paint came into its own.

We produced six videos that Sony published across their social media channels, gaining thousands of views.
Using energetic doc-style editing and graphics to appeal to Sony’s young, creative target audience, we showed off the installations, the artists and the Xperia technology that enabled them.
